Finally got round to a visit to Udon Thani museum last week. Situated on Phorsi Road it traces teh history of Udon Thani and is well laid out over two floors. Admission is free even if the leaflet they give you says 10 baht for Adults.
I had not realised how far Nong Han dates back, or really how relatively Udon is as a town. Udon founded in 1893 when the Thai forces were required to withdraw back from the Mekong under a treaty with France.
