I've just downloaded and installed Thunderbird 3 Release Candidate 2. There are two things I like straight away against Thunderbird 2.
Firstly tabbed messaging. Open a message and it appears in a new tab, not a new window.
Secondly as I run multiple accounts I have the option of viewing a consolidated in-box which will make life easier.
Apart from that it downloaded quickly and installed as fast as Mozilla products usually do.
The only thing I had to do was reinput my account passwords to send messages as they are stored in a new location
