Feeling a little peckish, enhanced by our exertion, we started to head down via the northern route to Wat Pha Phoutthabat.  just below the summit you pass the remains of an anti-aircraft gun.

 

Once you near the bottom of the hill and enter the temple compound there is a large collection of Buddha images.
