Yesterday as I only had hand luggage and no specific schedule I decided to get the airport rail link into Bangkok.
Easy to get do on the basement level at the airport. Decision time, Express at 150Baht or the stopping City Train for 35 Baht to Makassan. No rush so obvious choice.
Got off at Makassan to transfer to the subway. They call it a connection, but what a hike! Still thankfully no heavy bags.
Makassan to Hua Lamphong was 28Baht. Journey time from getting of the plane at the airport to exiting Hua Lamphong MRT station, 1 hour.
