Checked the titles at the Land Office today and all seems in order. If/when we actually buy then the Land Office will visit the site and verify boundaries.
Tracking down the owner of two adjoining plots to see how much he wants for them as this would give us one solid block with road access on both sides.
Checked at Nong Han Municipality about getting a 'yellow book' They confirmed they would do it, with no hassle, if I was staying put in Thailand. Long term lease on land and non imm visa should do that. There is no real ad=vantage other than not having to go to Nong Khai whenever I need a residence certificate.

Time to leave Pattaya and set up shop in Isaan.

Looked at some land today, 5 plots totalling 2000Sqm. Not ideal configuration but with raod access on two sides to the main 4 plots and the fifth plot neighbouring so ideal for house, by business, but not in teh middle of it worth pursuing... so it's off to teh land office tomorrow to check the titles which appear to be 'Nor Sor 3 Ghaw' rather than the preferred 'Nor Sor 4 Jor'. The fact that they are 5 sep plots rather than one also helps in terms of beign able to part dispose and also try and get a usufruct which seems limited to plots of 1 rai and under.
The land is relatively cheap because it is repossessed by a bank who want to cut their losses.. so who knows....
